We have been using Muskoka Pest Control for a couple years now after switching from a competitor. We decided to try them because they are in the same town as our cottage and we wanted to support a local company.Yesterday which was the Friday of Labor Day weekend, I had a wasp come into our boathouse and found a wasp hive in the ground right beside the door of our boathouse which is where we spend the majority of our time when we are at the cottage. We have two kids and two dogs and were afraid someone would get stung with the hive being so close to our entry door.Being Friday of a long weekend, I called the office and sent them an email but figured I wouldn’t hear back from anyone until next week. Within a short time, I received a call from Mark who told me he would come by and see if he could help. He came quickly and introduced himself as the owner of the company! He informed me that he did not have his usual equipment because it was out in his service trucks but he did have a can of spray which he would try and hoped it would help.Mark sprayed the hive and informed me that we would still see wasps coming back to the hive but any activity should stop within 24 hours.Mark also told me that he had packed his family up that morning and they were supposed to be heading out on vacation for the long weekend. However he had gotten an emergency call before mine which he took care of and when he saw my email, he did not want to leave my family with an active wasp hive for the long weekend. He also told me to call him back if we had any more problems and he would try to get someone out even though they were closed for the long weekend.Talk about spectacular customer service, we are so happy to have had the wasp hive taken care of and we are extremely grateful to Mark for taking his personal time to help out a customer.If you are considering a pest control company, please use Muskoka Pest Control; you won’t be disappointed.
